We have a question from Monster Hunter Rise Devs. We want to ask about G Version or expanding the game in anyway. This is what they said to4Gamer.
4Gamer: Speaking of the Monster Hunter series, each title has had an expansion release such as a ‘G’ or Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Are you thinking of some expanded version for Monster Hunter Rise?
Ryozo Tsujimoto, Monster Hunter series Producer: “We plan to release Event Quests after Monster Hunter Rise releases. We’ll also do title updates. However, we’ve yet to consider something like the aforementioned ‘G‘ or Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. There’s still a lot more that we need to do before that.”
Yasunori Ichinose, Monster Hunter Rise Director: “In any case, we’ve yet to complete the main game. [laughs] However, we are thinking of taking measures to keep people playing for a long time.”
Up until now, the MonHun series has had all kinds of in-person events. I believe that it may be difficult to hold one now, but have you thought of any substitutions?
Ryozo Tsujimoto: “Just as you say, it is difficult to communicate with users during these times. Nevertheless, we’ve been planning on communicating with the fans and Hunters, and perhaps we can do something using the Internet. I also believe that we’ll share more info through our social media platforms, so please do give us a follow.”
You announced new amiibo as well, but will there be compatibility [for Monster Hunter Rise] with amiibo from titles of other companies?
Ryozo Tsujimoto: “There will be support for amiibo of other company titles, and you’ll get to challenge the daily lottery draws to acquire all kinds of items. Furthermore, the Monster Hunter Rise amiibo will get you special Layered Armor sets.”
