Fire Force Season 2 Ep 15 A Three Way Melee is out and we will be breaking it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled then go check out the episode as well as past episode over at Crunchyroll or Funimation. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
Okay so quick recap is that company 8 is investigating Haijime to get Natuku as well as find out what else they are up to. This puts Shinra against Kurono. Now as the fight id going down we see Natuku is having a reaction and is losing control. Knowing he is here and where Licht sets the plain into motion. First notifying the rest of the team and then telling Shinra. Now given the history we see why Vulcan is worked up and is not ready to let Haijime do anything to Shinra. Licht as well but to the same extent.
Now while the rest of the team looks for Shinra and Licht location we see them trying to get to the special care room where Natuku is to get him out. Remember he is the primary here. The only issue is they have to get there before Kurono. But he is not the only defense this place has. Enter in the puppeteer (yes that is her name) who bring in Dominion.
The puppeteer says she watches the kids and is a nice lady. A nice lady in having a soft voice only as she is the other half to Kurono since she watches the kids. But what we get with Vulcan and Maki facing off with her is a fight through tech. IN battle and in name since the Puppeteer wants to rename the owl caterpillar. Something that doesn’t sit well with Vulcan. As they fight Shinra and Licht find Natuku only to see Kurono has beaten them to him.
But the jump back quickly to the fight outside as Maki and Vulcan find the fight with the Puppeteer to be hard then they thought. As well as embrassing since one of dominion attack is poot poot blaster. ( I have no idea what it will be names in English mind you.) Now mind you that last for second as Maki sides with Puppeteer in renaming the iron owl caterpillars.
The thing is we also get a look into hoe Puppeteer views on machines and people. She says they are both easily manipulated since they are so easy to predict. During this conversation we see the rest team head which i have to ask why didn’t Hinawa shoot the cables. He is the marks men of the group and can probably take it down. I know it isn’t his fight but still.
Anyway we see the battle favor the Puppeteer for a bit only for Maki to over power her and taking out the puppet. There is only one problem that is not her only puppet. Vulcan and Maki are shocked as the Puppeteer explains it is all in the name Dominions. Keep in mind taking one one nearly took Maki to her breaking point.
We soon catch up to Shinra who is fighting Kurono who once his team comes focuses on Iris. Luckily Obi is there to act as here shield. This shows that anyone as long as you are seen to be weaker to him is Kurono target which considering how strong he is means there are alot. But we only think about that for a second as the white clad show up to take Natuku making this a 3 way brawl.
Along with a new guardian for there new pillar we see Charon and Haumea. Just those 2 being here represents there set of problems. So luckily for Maki Haumea showed up to take don Dominion. The only issue is she is here and she can control anyone but Arthur. Keep in mind we also have Kurono now facing Charon who can use any impact and turn it into his own attack. And that is only taking these 2 into account. We also have to remember Inca is here and she can predict every move you make as well as attack in ways you can see.
Now with all this said Hajime is not done either. The Puppeteer has another toy which is introduced in a way to make all mech fans happy. And that is where we end it as we see how this 3 way battle for the next pillar will continue.
