Guilty Gear Strive has fans talking with Ky Gear face. We will see this face for some of his moves as the translation explains but what else. What will this mean for the story going forward?
In the story Ky gear form has been used in 2 moments. In xrd we were introduced to it being shown to heal him from a fatal bullet that introduced us to him having gear cells in his body. We don’t know where for certain but many believe he got from Dizzy from helping parent Sin into this world.
In that moment no one gave it much though it since the only other person is dead from the conclave. Fans were taken back by this as we have no idea what this means going forward. But then again this was the only time it was used in the game. We would not see the the eye shown until revelator where Ky used it to increase his strength so he can hold down one of justice chains.
With this we see the Gear cells in Ky have now grown to not only offer him regeneration but inhuman strength. How much is unclear as this was once again the only instance we see him use it in this game with no one mentioning it.
Now with him showing more of his gear self in combat you can only imagine it will come into play in the story. But to what degree we do not know what will happen in the story. This is true but we can understand what will happen as you have to remember Ky being a gear could be an issue for him being a king.
Remember Ky is a human king who is married to a gear and is trying to bridge the 2. Not many are happy with that. So to those who are unhappy with him seeing him as a gear could be there change to attack him and remove him by trying to focus on peoples fears. Remember Ky is a king so the big shout politicians can keep track of him. He is not a King by blood but due to politics.
Now this can also work in Ky favor as well as with him he can show is the best example that human can live with Gears. On top of that if you become a gear you will remain the same. Either way the gear information should have an impact but how much is uncertain.
