Final Fantasy XIV Is Getting Its Own SSD Card

Final Fantasy XIV is getting its own SSD card. This solid state drive card is for the PC and will be released in Japan December 2nd of this year. This will lower your load time as Square Enix has tested using Shadow bringer as the test subject. The time they got was 14 seconds load time. Meaning if you want this for your PC. Now for everyone else I don’t know since a global release isn’t mentioned here. But when and if it is I will let you know.

“Square Enix did some testing for the occasion, and what better way than to test out the speed of Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers on the storage device. As expected of a solid-state drive, the loading times are much lower compared to the standard HDD installed onto a PC. When Square Enix tested out the SSD from I-O DATA, it clocked in at about 14 seconds to load up Shadowbringers. On the other hand, a PC with a regular HDD took more than double the time with about 30 seconds for the same load.”
