Today we got a lot of videos on Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition. The video mostly showed off Vergil and what his arms can do. The arms are the Yamato, Beowulf and his illusion sword version of forced edge. We see they are similar yet there are changes.
We will start with Beowulf as people have noted it is still just Beowulf that Capcom has given Vergil since we were able to play with back in DMC3SE. I am saying that as many fans though since we were getting Beowulf back that it would be like Cerberus in the fact it has new modes to go with the return of class weapon. That is not the case but we do see that Vergil has some new moves as well as moves from when Dante possessed the gauntlets.
Now we also Vergil the spectrum forced edge or mirror forced edge as the game refers to it. If you never seen this is Vergil using his father sword the forced along with the Yamato at times. But since Dante has merged the forced edge into himself and the rebellion to make the sword of Dante Vergil just makes an illusion sword.
We then have his illusion swords which seem to be the same as before to me at the moment. I am saying this as I have not noticed a new move with them yet. That might change as we have yet to see the full list for any of these weapons.
Now another note with these weapons is we do know that the devil arms have some new moves with Beowulf and Forced Edge having some crazy over the top moves in devil trigger. Beowulf has ground punch with epic hit area effect. The forced edge on the other has Vergil going nuts with a spinning blades attack that he moves around the room taking out enemies. These go along with the judgement cut for the Yamato itself.
We also now about the V move that was shown in the trailer for the game. It is called V world where he calls out all familiars to clear shop. The thing is the video shows us what it does but it is once again from Vergil perspective. Many believe this is a move for V as well as Vergil but we have yet to see it.
We also saw in the videos that your devil trigger is the double ganger which I would like to touch on. The double ganger is of interest as it will only use the Yamato. We know this as we see in combat that Vergil will switch weapons the double ganger will keep going but only the Yamato.
But we also have some interesting taunts such as Vergil asking about giving Nero V book as well as playing with his arm. Here are some more videos to along with that as we await for the game to drop.
