Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition News, Taunts, Interviews And More

Devil may Cry 5 Special Edition had a lot of news come out. As we look at the whole week i figured it is best we sum up what we learns over the week as well as what we learned today.

First the interview from Matt Walker. The interview showed us that this will be similar to DMC4SE where it was just a playable Vergil with no difference. At the same time it is due to cannon reasons why Vergil has mirrored edge instead of the forced edge which was turned into devil sword Dante.

Matt interview also brought up fighting the boss as that would be just a mirror match giving fans flash back to DMC3SE where you fought as red Vergil who is normally blue but since you are him things are switched. It is either that or fighting Nero and Dante. We don’t know.

Now to wrap up the character part Matt was asked about Lady and Trish as fans have been asking for them to be playable. So when DMC5Se was announced fans were hoping ladies would be playable as they were in DMC4SE also with maybe a new cutscene for them. That was not in the cards it seems.

According to Matt this was always to focus on the Sparda blood line and dealing with Vergil. While that would mean all as everyone in this game minus Nico has been impacted or meet Dante more serious brother it would mean them. But with this focusing on Vergil and his linage this meant it was all about him, Dante and Nero was shown to be his son as fact instead of fan conjecture.

Devil May Cry 5 How to Defeat the Final Boss

This brings us to moves as Vergil to super powered moves for Beowulf and mirrage edge have been revealed to be Hell On Earth and Deep Stinger. We also learned a little bit more about the move where calls in V aka world of V. This is to show V will be apart of Vergil which makes sense given that all the type hyping him up meant that he should be sticking around. Some however ask if this means that Urizen might also come back if Vergil summons him through the Yamato and we don’t know. We are not sure how this works as Vergil separating himself was one of the biggest issues in DMC 5 as it lead to the chaos and Dante had to deal with it.

We also learn that Vergil has a new shoulder check move for Beowulf but if this is somehow part of the parry system we are not sure. This is one things fans are finding interesting as fans as although Vergil has the same arsenal he will have some new moves to make them fresh. How many and how they will work are still up in the air at the moment.
