Capcom Ransomware Attack

Capcom was recently attacked with ransomware. The attack might have compromised user information. The information suggest makes it sound as though it was more employee then customer information but if that changes I will let you know.

On November 12, 2020, Capcom confirmed that a few personal information of employees and former employees, including their passport information and signatures, as well as financial information and sales reports, were definitely compromised. The company also announced that much more personal information and confidential information may be potentially compromised as well.

The number of people whose personal data, such as names, addresses, and email addresses, may be affected could include approximately 14,000 employees, 28,000 former employees including their families, 125,000 applicants, 40,000 shareholders, 4,000 members of the North American esports website, 14,000 members of the North American Capcom Store, and 134,000 people who contacted Capcom’s customer service for video game-related support in Japan.”

So double check your credit card info if you used your card to purchase anything from them all the same.
