PlayStation 5 Sold 118,085 Unites Compared To Xbox Series X 20,534 In The First 6 Days

We have the first sales figures for next gen and Sony is in the lead at the moment. The PlayStation 5 has sold 118,085 unites compared to Xbox Series X which has sold 20,534 units. This was done within the first 6 days of launch.

That may be good for Sony for being ahead of Microsoft at the moment but it is not anything to be proud of when you look back. Both the PS4 and Xbox One did far better when they were released and so did the PS3 and Xbox 360. You will see this below as with in 2 days both form consoles out did there new models.

  • PlayStation 4 – 322,083 sold in first two days (February 22, 2014 to February 23)
  • Xbox One – 23,562 sold in first four days (September 4, 2014 to September 7)
  • PlayStation 3 – 88,443 sold in first two days (November 11, 2006 to November 12)
  • Xbox 360 – 62,135 sold in first two days (December 10, 2005 to December 11)
