Sony Jim Ryan is teasing a something new for PlayStation. It seems similar to Xbox Series X Game Pass. A tease as he has some answer planed for it. What that answer is we don’t know.
“According to Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan in an interview with Russian news agency TASS, the subject arose on how Sony plans to respond to Microsoft’s Game Pass initiative. Ryan gave an answer, although a rather cryptic one, and said “There is actually news to come, but just not today. We have PlayStation Now which is our subscription service, and that is available in a number of markets.” At this time, we can’t be too sure what this could really mean for PlayStation but it does seem that maybe Ryan has had a change of heart which is in stark contrast to what he had said not too long ago when he stated that it “doesn’t make any sense” for the company’s PS5 plans in regards to an Xbox Game Pass equivalent.”
