Boruto Ch 52 Baryon Mode is out now and we will be breaking it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. As such if you do not want to be spoiled please go check out Viz media for translations or Shonen Jump online to check out this and all other chapters. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
So Naruto has a new mode as with most changes in Shonen fashion everyone is taken back by it and we soon see that it does the job at allowing him to be able to take on Isshiki since it gives him such an increase in fighting ability.
This increase is not the same as sage mode as Kurama (nine tails) points out. This mode power is coming from both of the nine tails and Naruto chakra being fused together using power it produces for the mode. The issue is it is using life force. This is reflected in the fact that back in the leaf Kawaki arms is losing power. Remember the fake arm is itself being powered by Naruto chakra.

Now this life force issue also applies to Isshiki as this mode for the big downside of using Naruto and Kurama chakra effects his life span with each blow since it effects where life force comes from. Remember that Isshiki life was short enough already so to have this work against him is a big issue. The one problem is that we have Isshiki get the upper hand and with it we see him realize a link to Kawaki through Naruto chakra.
We saw this the last time as so long as there is a link in Chakra they can use it to get to you. From Isshiki finding Kawaki to Kawaki then using that same link to get to Naruto. With this isshiki sees his chance as he needs a proper host and he will be unstoppable. The host he is using is not meant for combat which is why he is on the clock. This also messes up Naruto and the leaf plan as the idea was to keep Isshiki away from Kawaki as that was there only chance to stop him.
Now as things look bad fans notice that Boruto Jogan is kicking in and that could mean that he is awakening it on his own or it is Momoshiki awaking up and he is about to turn the tables. We don’t as we are not sure if Boruto can only use the Jogan with Momoshiki or by himself. Personally i hope Boruto is using it on his own as I want to see what this eye can do since we have no idea what makes it so powerful and different from Byakugun of the Hyuga clan. We will have to wait and see with the next chapter what will happen with Boruto.
