Jujutsu Kaisen Ep 8 Boredom Breakdown

Okay so we are catching up with Megumi and Nabora who have sent on an earned by the 2nd years. Panda notes that today the other school comes to met and discuss the exchange event set for October. This means the principle might have students coming with them and one of them might be Maki sister Mai.

As we see when she mets Megumi and Nabora she is not a nice person in general. Maki might be rude but her sister in comparison is just a bit on the rotten side. For Shonen fans you are right to get Black Clover vibes as it feels the same when fans were introduced to Noel family. But that is all broken up when Toudo opens his mouth seeing what type of man Megumi is by asking what type of woman he likes.

Megumi answer is good for the women saying that personality matter not looks. (Also good as Nabora was going to be upset if he said other wise) But Toudo doesn’t like the answer and the fight starts with Toudo taking on Megumi and Mai fighting Nabora.

We see Nabora update set Mai but it is more Toudo that we need to focus on as we learn about what happened at the last event. A numerous number of curses were summoned and Toudo took out most with his bare hands. He can uses curse energy but he didn’t need to and we see why as this man is a power house.

Now if you look carefully we see Geto there. It happens fast but according to this quick flash back he was responsible for the incident which explains why he doesn’t people of the school to see him right now.

Back in the present we see just how strong Toudo as with pure strength we see him just go through Megumi familiars as well as some parts of this temple. He thinks this proves Megumi is week and boring Megumi explains that he isn’t smart enough to tell that Megumi is holding back. Seeing the look in his eye Toudo as about to keep going but Panda and Togi break it.

We then catch back with Mai and Nabora which we see Mai about to cause her more problems when Maki interferes. We then get the sister smack talk and learn Maki has very little curse energy that she cannot even infuse it to items which is why she fights using curse weapons. (Again a little black clover) But this moment allowed Nabora to get the upper hand as Mai ran off with the mouth and put her in a chock hold where we learn Nabora might be sensitive about her legs.

The fight breaks up with Toudo and Mai leaving to the hand hold things Toudo came for leaving us with Maki explaining to Nabora why she became a jujutsu sorcerer is to rub it in her family face as they have looked down her. This gives Nabora someone to look up to as in a way that is what she wants to do. Remember she didn’t like how the people of her village looked down on her friend because she is an outsider. So to Nabora she want to do the same. But so that we are clear Maki probably coudl ahve taken her sister out quickly as her physical skills are no joke.

We go from students to teachers as we meet the principle from the other school in Yoshinobu Gakuganji who Gojo have very good words for as he comes to talk to him. He is one of the higher ups who decided to send his student to that prison. Well Gojo lets him have it in saying your time is up and the next generation is here and that you cannot do anything to stop that. Of course he gets told off by the Kasumi who we see is actually a big fan.

The meeting ends with Kasumi going to get some tea for her principle. In fact she is really go to get a selfy with Gojo. But after we jump from that to a theater that was the center of a ghastly murder by Mohito that was watched by Yuta another 2nd year. This is a little rough as we go from him talking to Mohito Yuji and Kento who is teacher looking into the theater. What this means is that the next episode might have us jumping between 2 time periods. We will have to see in the next episode.
