Street Fighter V Champion Edition is getting update. The update to multiplayer is adding new modes such as type arcade and many others.
“The new Guild feature appears to be Type Arcade’s answer to the console’s Dojo mode where players can team up and earn rankings though it has an extra layer we do not currently have access to.
After joining a guild, players can participate in online Team Battle mode which appears quite similar to what is in Champion Edition on its surface though holds some key differences.
Type Arcade offers 3v3 online team battles that match up guildmates together through the regular network match options against other guilds to compete for Guild Point rankings instead of the 5v5 offline only Team Battle currently available to everyone else.
If this online Team Battle implementation had been used in Champion Edition, it could have offered much more depth and purpose to participating in Dojos.
Players could have built more of a comradery with their Dojo members by actually fighting side-by-side with them instead of everyone simply adding to point totals through their own regular solo play.”
This update is out today so check it out to see if it is to your licking.
