Yasuyuki Oda producer for The King Of Fighters XIV and The King Of Fighters XV did an interview were he touched on KOF XV. The interview has been slowly translated and with it we learn more with each translation. The last bit that was translated has fans over the moon with excitement as Oda talks about KOF XV using the latest tech to get as close as they can to KOF XIII.
The news has fans hyped for joy as KOF XIII was the best looking game out of the bunch. The look and gameplay was such a nice combination that it got KOF XIII on the Evo stage not once but twice with popular demand making them bring it back. With that said though the hint points to a fact that one of the rumors surrounding KOF XV has technically been proven true.
Early on there was a rumor that spoke to the fact that KOF XV would have graphics similar to KOF XIII. Many took as a rumor as KOF XIII graphics although impressive were difficult to maintain. Proof can be seen in not only the 1 DLC season it had but that making the game nearly bankrupted SNK.
Yet some couldn’t help but believe the rumor had legs as SNK for its recruitment page had a developer working on a 2d looking Raiden who didn’t look as though he was made in KOF XIII engine. So this means what SNK had might have been one of the guys working on KOF XV development and the posted an early look right in front of our noses.
Now I am saying worked on this might not be how Raiden will look in KOF XV finally product if he is in there at all. I am saying that as Raiden could have been used to test the look since he was in KOF XIII and comparing the 2 would be a wise idea. Also he is one of the characters who model fit him right as although the graphics were a knock out not all of the characters looked right. To give you an idea Joe was too skinny while Clark and Ralf seemed more like hulks from marvel then themselves. Athena looked like a child. All of which we hope SNK gets right for KOF XV.
So again this might be an early concept or a final look to KOF XV we just need to see as SNK said officially they were just messing around. You can see it below if you have not see it at all before. I am only going with this rumor being possibly true as we have had so many this time. Of course that is if we are reading into this. let me know what you think about it.
