Saudi Arbia Mist company has brought most of SNK shares and the fans are all over the place with emotions. On one hand we have fears as many see this as Saudi crown prince censoring there beloved company. Others see hope for oppritunity. I would like to look at booth of these as the fans look to the next year and what it will bring.
Next year is a big thing as the deal with Mist and EDGC will be finalized in January. With it many think the political censor ship the region will be applied to SNK which might mean Mai and other ladies might be getting more covered looks among other things.
To these fears Mist says that is not there goal. The goal of this is to expose more Arabi youth to the world with Mist using SNK to expose them to Japanese gaming colure. Some are finding it hard to take them at there word and is why people are so concerned. At the same time this could help SNK.
EDGC is looking at this as an investment which means they are putting money to get money out of it. For SNK it means more money for more resources as Mist is saying they want to help SNK development more games which makes sense as the more they make the more profit for SNK and for them. For us it means we might be see more games sooner. For example as KOF XV comes out and is being supported along with Samurai Shodown we will not have to wait long for that new Fatal Fury game which many believe is next.
Again good news but not everything in this is crystal clear. We don’t know what this will mean for the mobile games or for the mulit media plan we have been seeing such as manga and animations such as KOF awakening. They are not mentioned and given the switch from media blitz to game production from Mist we don’t know what will happen. We will have to see.
I am laying this out so any fan who is scared can see why it is understandable at the same time that there some good things that can come out of this. But let me know your thoughts.
