The King Of Fighters XV is in the works with SNK counting down to January 7th for the big day of the full reveal trailer. As we wait for the game we can’t help but think about what the game will be like. But as we notice that they are aiming to do better with graphics then XIII and online as compared to XIV. But as we imagine how this will this new entry will turn out I can’t help but wonder about why they mentioned Maximum Impact? To see what I am talking about here is the trailer again.
Okay so why Maximum Impact? First if you don’t know what that is let me explain. Maximum impact 1 and 2 or 2006 are the 3d entries that many don’t talk about as fans see them as okay. The games had in south town as various gangs fought for control with one top Mephistopheles in the wake of Geese death. Ya this was supposed to be a sequel/ replacement for Fatal Fury as you will not Geese is dead we are in south town and Rock is old enough to fight.
But if it is a so so game why would SNK be looking at it in any form for KOF XV? This comes in 2 things mi did that no other KOF game did before. 1st intro’s which we have discussed before. The intro told you the basic story of the game plot but in MI 2 also why your character was fighting.
Now to be clear this prologue exist for most kof’s but they are usually online. Leaving only the faithful to know they exist. For fans asking for more story including this would be a nice touch but most likely not the only one they are taking from it. Which brings us to the other reason they are looking at MI and that will be for customs.
These customs varied in color and fashion as characters had numerous one to chose from. From Iori having his classic to something that made it look like he was channeling Yashiro to Terry who had his normal and Mark Of The Wolves look. Now they did have some that didn’t work such as K and Rock alternates. But the idea is we will be getting variety and I think we might be getting that for the whole roaster. Which will be good if that is the case.
But those are my thoughts let me know yours.
