This is what some of Square Enix big names have to say. Kitase of FFVII Remake To Hirono of Brave Exvius. See what they have to say as we look forward to the big year.
Yoshinori Kitase – Final Fantasy VII Remake
“In 2020, I was able to release FFVII Remake, which was my long-time wish. The new world of FFVII has just begun. My aspirations are not only for 2021 but also for the future. I’m excited because not even I can imagine how the story will expand in the future. Please look forward to it.
“Of course! We are currently preparing further expansions to FFVII. But please wait a while for the details.”
Final Fantasy VII Remake was released simultaneously worldwide for PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. It has surpassed 5 million copies in physical shipments and digital sales combined as of August 2020.
Kay Hirono – War of the Visions and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
“This is going to apply every year, but I want to move forward while keeping continuation and evolution in mind. FFBE has entered its 6th year and War of the Visions, which is also part of the series, entered its 2nd year. I continue to evolve daily to aim for continuing managements of both titles until they reach their 10th anniversaries.
“I want to do my best, so I can deliver even better gaming experiences in the future. I will do my best to aim for expanding the FFBE series even further!”
The mobile RPG Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and its strategy spin-off War of the Visions are available on Android and iOS devices.
Naoki Yoshida – Final Fantasy XIV and XVI
“2021 will be the busiest year of my career. While taking care of my health, I want to be able to deliver surprises and thrills to all gamers and players in the year!

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available on PlayStation 4 and PC. Square Enix is currently holding a 50% sale for the online RPG until January 19, 2021. Naoki Yoshida is also working as the producer of the newest mainline game Final Fantasy XVI, currently under development for PlayStation 5.
Shinji Hashimoto
“I’m already at an old age, so I am prioritizing my health. I’ll do my best at work.
“All of the concerts and stage shows in 2020 were either canceled or shifted to audience-less live shows. I really hope I can enjoy them with everyone in 2021. I will be waiting for you all at the venue.”
The Final Fantasy VII Remake Orchestra World Tour was originally set to take place in 2020, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Most venues have since received new concert dates ranging from February to December 2021.
