Bloody Roar Reboot Where Should They Begin

Bloody Roar fans are hoping that a new game/ reboot rumor is true so that we can see this human/ animal hybrid fighter return. As we wait we have asked how would they approach the characters and today I think we should ask how will they start?

Let me explain as there is an official start to the game and this is not a spin off of it. But this falls in line with more Street Fighter II where as the fans know more of the 2nd game cast of characters then the first. Proof of this can be seen with Mitsuko who is playable in the first game but makes only a brief cameo in the 2nd as we see Alice story mode and that is it. She along with Greg and Hans are never seen again after the 1st game. The other character Yugo, Long, Alice and Gado are with Uriko the Chimera to be half beast later down would appear in other games. In fact they would make up the returning cast along with Stun, Shina, Bakuryu, Jeana and Buszima.

Now I said Bakuryu came in the 2nd game and yes he was in the first but keep in mind something that these are 2 different people and that the kid is what most who play the game know as that is the one we would get to carry the name going forward. There is the Iron mole which is clone of him but from what I understand he doesn’t really count either. That is mainly due to how Konami treated the secret characters are not mattering to the series other than playable so they don’t get a continuing story in most of the games.

That isn’t the only thing. The 2nd game seems to be where the story really comes into its own as we learn about Tylon we see the experiments as well as get the character arcs that the cast will hold on too moving forward. The 1st game introduce us to the characters and gameplay with the 2nd surviving as a place for the story and lore to be formed and in some aspects.

With that said I don’t think Konami will focus on story too much so then why would start with 2 instead of 1? The cast of 2 is more well known and that is what the series chose to do so that is probably the safe beat. So what about the 1st game cast? Bring them in. For the most part you should be able to do just that. Hans is a spy just have work with Jenny. Bakuryu can actual be in the game with him showing to hand the name to the Kenji in VR or real depending upon how they write it. Greg can just be there since he is only looking for a way to revive his circus and most fighting games just have one goof ball there just because so he might as well be it for this game. Yes we Bushuzima but that is later down the roar when Tylon is dead where he is the comic relief with Uriko.

Now to reiterate this is a starting point for the reboot. If they do it and it does good we will see them bring back other such as Xion and Chronus. Lets hope they are working on this and that it will do well. But yes let me know your thoughts as we await for this rumor to be true.
