Super Smash Bros Ultimate now has Sephiroth but the thing is there is glitch that effects all players. The glitch will make other players final smash useless. You can see the info below as at this moment we have no news on the glitch being addressed.
“The One-Winged Angel can potentially put a damper on party play as he can, under the right conditions, cause a glitch that makes every characters’ Final Smash attack become incredibly ineffective and often visually skewed in some way.
The fact that this seems only to affect Final Smash attacks means the competitive crowd may not need to worry much, but seeing as how massive the casual Smash Ultimate fan base is, this is likely something Masahiro Sakurai and his team will want to nix in the not too distant future.
To cause the glitch to happen, Sephiroth needs to be facing off against Pokemon Trainer. If the newcomer hits one of the three Pokemon with his Shadown Flare attack, (which causes three shadow orbs to orbit the victim for a short period before eventually exploding and causing damage) and the character is killed at the moment the orbs would have hit them, problems start to arise.”
