In a recent interview Tite Kubo said he wanted to keep Bleach and Burn The Witch separate saying he wants to keep Bleach as an Easter egg to Burn The Witch. This is a good and bad thing.
The good first. Both series share the same world. As such it is a good thing to keep them separate so we can see the world through different lenses. Also if Kubo does want to come back to it that it can be different for the characters and the reader. So ya that is cool.
The bad part about it is we need clarity on some Easter eggs already. One such thing that comes to my mind is dragons and hallows. You see Soul Society in Burn The Witch deals with dragons and depending on it they either capture it or destroy it. Soul society in Bleach deals with Hallows. The thing is according to Burn The Witch they destroys dragons no questions ask and many are asking if they are talking about hallows thinking they are dragons or if they are actual dragons.
So it is cool to keep them separate but keep in mind here. We want some Easter Eggs we have already explained and with Kubo wanting to keep them separate we might not ever get the answer to these questions. But we will see as If things go well we might get a series that addresses that since it seems Shonen wants to expand on Bleach.
