Square Enix Trademarks Ever Crisis, The First Soldier And Shinra logo In Japan

More new Final Fantasy VII games might be in the works. Square Enix has trademarked Ever Crisis ,The First Soldier and Shinra logo in Japan. The First Soldier and Ever Crises sound like new games with one focusing on Zack and the other focusing on Sephiroth. This leaves the last bit which has me confused as to why Square didn’t trademark Shinra electric company before? But they have now.

I will reiterate we do not know what this all means and that we only know that Square has trademarked the titles in Japan. As to what they will do with them we don’t know. But let me know what you think.

  • Ever Crisis” shares a similar name to the 2004-released mobile game Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII and 2007-released PSP game Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
  • “The First Soldier” may be a reference to Sephiroth, the main villain of the Final Fantasy VII series.
  • The Shinra Electric Power Company is an organization in the world of Final Fantasy VII.
