Guilty Gear Strive information is still be looked over by the community. One thing you might have missed is that they explain the tag team thing we thought was happening was more of a saving feature.
You see Arcade mode will server as a prequel to the story mode which will serve as the main story but it will have branching paths. That paths that you will go down according to your score. Now a character will save you if you chose but at the same time it is unclear if this will be automatic for every occasion. We still need more info for that. But If I hear anything I will let you know as we await for this game to drop.
