Jujutsu Kaisen Ep 15 Kyoto Sister School Goodwill Event – Team Battle, Part 1 is out now and we will be breaking it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. Okay so the games begin with Tokyo actually wanting to win while Kyoto is aiming to kill Yuji due to there principle ordering it. Tokyo does not know that and thus they only are worried about one thing. One to deal with Todou. The answer they come up with is Yuji since Megumi says he can take him after facing the monster student himself. Keep in mind the idea is not for him to beat Todou despite Yuji saying he will but to hold him off.
Understand why I said it doesn’t matter if he wins or not as despite Yuji strength Todou isn’t going down that easily. Keep in mind that Yuji is no push over as he was taking out cruses with his bare hands himself. The issue is that he is dealing with someone who is rarw power. Something we get as with one punch sends him flying. to further prove the difference between there strength a low level cruse got in the way to take some of the blow. With all that after taking the punch Yuji thought his arm was going to come off.
And you can see Todou did a number on him but Yuji still got back up and is ready to throw down. We then get a comical conversation about Todou maybe making him dumber than he already was this comedy bit proves that they have more in common since they seem to be interested in the same type of woman.
A conversation that triggers a memory spell. I am saying spell as this will come up again and so far I have not heard as to what this ability is but it is Yuji somehow manipulating memory. Again we do not know who he got this curse or how long he had it but this it and you will see it again.
The curse has Todou memory form around the idea He knew Yuji as a friend. Something that is not true in past form. Going forward is a different story but it is one that is short lived as Todou fellow class mates step in to kill Yuji.
Now remember when Todou told them never to boss him around again or he will kill them and stay out of his way. Well that still stands as he want to fight Yuji so you can understand why the issue. An issue that only becomes more complicated when the other Tokyo students.
Now we learn the team came back as they realized that Kyoto might be going after Yuji seeing him not as a human but a vessel for Sukuna and this bothered me. Remember the mission Yuji died on. Well that is not brought up in conversation. More over they bring up the logic the principle would use rather then well they did to use once so they might do it again. Remember that mission was way above any of there capability at that time. But what we get are the team squaring off as Yuji and Todou continue there fight.
The fight between Yuji and Todou is basically a street fight with curse energy that look cool but has one down side. Yuji divergent fist doesn’t work against Todou. Remember the delay it isn’t going to be enough to bring him down. Something that Tdou wants to change for his best friend (who he believe is his best friend. ) So he decides to give him a few pointers.
We then end with Miwa and Maki having a conversation where Miwa explains why she wants to win is to get recognized and promoted to more jobs since she has 2 younger brothers. Maki understands but isn’t about to roll over for her. And this is where we stand as we wait for the next episode.
