An interesting story about Mortal Kombat XI has been revealed. The story talks about how Onaga was planned to be revived. at least it was one idea as a concept for a new MK tournament story line had the boss from Mortal Kombat Deception comes back.
“They would be hosting a tournament to find mortal warriors worthy of joining the immortal ranks of Onaga’s elite guard. After the contest claims its first victim, Onaga would be resurrected in a weakened state. As the tournament progressed, Onaga would’ve grown stronger with each fighter’s death. Eventually, 10 of the original 11 champions would be defeated. Those 10 would be killed or spared in varying order, with varying rewards based on player’s choices.”
Not the resurrection you would expect for a boss is it. That might be why it was scrapped. Yet again we still need to understand how Shao Kahn got a piece of his power but I guess that is for another time.
