Seven Deadly Sins Dragon’s Judgement Ep 3 Sincere Feelings is out and we will be breaking it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled please stop now and go check out the episode or you can wait for it to appear on Netflix. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
The last time we left off we had Ban, Meliodas and Wild going to face off with the demon king to get out of Purgatory. As they move forward Wild continues to talk about Mild aka Hawk which brought Ban to talk about Meliodas relationship with his brothers. In truth though it has him talking about Zeldris. A relationship that is full of rage as the love is gone.
We learn that for what we see of Meliodas and Elizabeth that Zeldris was the first of his brother to fall in love and it is love with the vampire clan princess Gelda. This is the reason why Zeldris fights so hard. He does so for her to get his father blessing to marry her and be with Gelda.
That goes to hell as with Meliodas betrayal the vampire clan thought to rebel against the demons and the demon king wanted them taken out. So he sends Zeldris to do it. Zeldris kills a lot of them but then seems to seal the royal vampire family. I am saying it is the royal family only as we do see him take out a lot but not all. The point of this is so he can come get Gelda one day when all the fighting is over.
Gelda despite being sealed understands him and says she will what for him. So you can understand his horror when he comes back and finds out that his brother wiped her and the rest of the vampire clan out. That is the point of all this. It is to explain motivation. That motivation that had to revenge against his brother. That is until Meliodas told him Gelda was still alive.
With this promise Zeldris is ready to fight so he can finally be with his beloved again. The only issue with that is Escanor will not let that happen so easily. As the stigma face down Zeldris and his ominus nebla we also him now face Escanor as the one. This as far as the anime goes is Escanore at his strongest but only for 60 seconds. Remember it is only works as the sun is at highnoon.
Now for many this might work for the redemption of the fight between Meliodas and Escanore from last season but not for me. It isn’t due to animation it is due to the fact we are not there. Trust me that fight is coming and this is not it. With that said we have Escanor using his axe on to resolve to using his hand.
Now this is happening we have the 2 elder demons commenting on Escanor having a grace that he probably got when Mael was killed. Still for a human to have a angel grace and use it is something else. But after fighting him Escanor finally gets through to Zeldris attack and we then end the episode with Zeldris losing the fight against Escanor. As he does all he can think about is Gelda. Now I want to touch on something here in the fact that Escanor says he defeated Meliodas. Do not take that as him being stronger as that seemed to go back and froth between the 2 of them as you will all see. But with said we will wai tfor the next episode to where this will go next.
