JUJUTSU KAISEN Episode 16, Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event – Group Battle 2 Breakdown

Jujutsu Kaisen Ep 16 Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event – Group Battle 2 is out and we will be breaking it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled please go check out the anime over at Crunchyroll.com news as well as past episode. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.

So we are continuing with the school exchange with the students facing off. Todou and Yuji are going at it with Toudou thinking they are long time friends thanks to some unknown power Yuji had used. I am bring this up as Yuji is actually doing well holding his own against Todou but there is one downside. His divergent fist isn’t enough. The delay with his curse energy is the one downside as it is not working against all enemies.

So since they are good friends Toudou decides to help understand more on how to use curse energy and its flow. This flow will come back so keep it in mind but helping Yuji understanding flow helps him use it better. The key point is that Yuji grabs it quickly and is able to apply it due to the character type he is. In action series you will have fighting genesis who are good with planning such Shikimaru from Naruto or Dazia from Bungou Stray Dogs who are so smart they can predict your every move. But you will also have other who can adapt in fighting with ease. Don’t let them plan a thing but you know you can leave them to handle the fight such as Natsu from Fairy Tail or Goku from DB. Yuji is the not a strategist but he can hold his ground and adpat in combat making him good for the fight.

We then jump to Nobara and Panda who are talking Momo who is up a tree. And here we see Nobara has her sights set on Mai which is interesting since Mai want to take her out to. All the while Panada is listening to her rant and is scared at how harsh Nobara is sounding. That is until Panda is shot by Machjumaru who thinks he took him out thinking he hit the cursed corps core. But he was wrong as we see Panda get up.

And then we get to see what fans are hyped over as we see Panda go all out. We see him unleash a flurry of punches before they start talking again and we see Panda is facing an up hill battle since he is 2 grades below him. Remember that when it comes to facing your enemy the safe bet is 1 to 2 levels above. But that is not the only thing as we learn that Machu is being controlled by someone from afar.

The controller known as Muta introduces us to Heavenly Pact. Unlike the other pact this is forced on the body for more power. In Muta cases he was born with no arm and sensitive skin in exchange for projecting curse energy over great distances. He then proceeds to blast Panda with his ultimate cannon. Now Panda survives this by changing into his gorilla form which you see a little bit of in the opening. Not only is it sturdy but one slap will do a lot of damage.

This odd to me as yes he is a gorilla but they pound there chest with there hands closed not open. So palming aside Machu now has to deal with this new form and its power but keep in mind the plan is still the same. He takes out the core the battle is his. The only thing is that Panda knows his own weakness and as such knows how to move his cores. So he gets one more attack that ends the fight.

Panda then tells him that if he needs help let me him know and he will do what he can. Despite the bullseye on Yuji back these are students who are supposed to be having this game to get to know one another. So to see this lending out your hand to help someone else makes sense. And given how Machu is that might come to. But as Machu imagines what it would be like to actually meet his fellow students in person we see Miwa facing off with Maki as she notices that Maki is strong.
