As we see The King Of Fighters XV trailer roll out we see more something noticeable. What we are seeing is Iori and Leona not only showing they are tapping into the Riot of blood but also mastering it. This has been question for some time but now we see that might be happen.
For anyone who doesn’t know why this is a big deal let me take you back a bit to explain. The Riot of blood was fully introduced in kof 97 where you would face Iori and Leona who would become more powerful and faster at the price of losing there minds as they become more feral. This was due to Orochi taking them over causing them to lose it. Hence why sometimes this is called there Orochi forms. But since Orochi was the cause we see this associated with his release. But now it seems that is not the case.
As we see they seem to be tapping into it at will. Not only that but Iori recent trailer shows him trash talking Shun. It is unclear if this is Orochi speaking through him or him talking. If it is him talking it shows learning how to tap into more of the Orochi power through riot of the blood. Now we see it for his new move true but we also see didn’t see his maiden masher at full power so it might just happen for that as well.
I bring this up as if we are right we also see a difference in power. Leona if Iori can only do it for one move is tapping into the power more often as such we see it with more of her moves. But seeing how Iori is he is tapping into the full power of the riot of blood. Again we don’t know if this will be like Leona where he does this for his strongest move or like previous where it is only for his level 3. But it is something to take keep in mind. But those are my thoughts let me know yours as we await for more on KOF XV.
