The King Of Fighters XV newest reveal Joe Higashi one of the original character of Fatal Fury and with him fans are hyped and confused. In this post we will go over why. First the trailer which if you have not seen it here you go.
As you can see Joe has a new pair shorts but other than that we see the same moves from XIV. That doesn’t mean the trailer didn’t have anything good to show us as we see further example of ex moves being used outside of Max Mode. To follow emphasize this Orpheus has once again posted a video comparing Joe gameplay for XIV and XV. Gameplay that you will see looks exactly the same the same even the combo paths that in the last 2 trailer we saw were different.
Now for the real thing that has SNK players saying What The #$@. From what gathered from team hero trailer the teams are being shown in order of the reveal. Which means we have Joe and Iori on a team??? The idea is weird for one big reason. No matter the game you may notice that the teams for the most part stick to there games. Fatal Fury for instance usually has FF characters in it. Even during the Ash saga where we saw more Garou characters. So the idea of Iori and Joe on a team is an odd sight for many fans especially if you know the lore.
Now this can mean 2 things. 1 we can have a new team with Joe and Iori which will make the back story as to why they are formed an entertaining read. Or 2 that SNK is switching things up. Nabil hit on this in his video but when it comes to what we expect for this game SNK keeps getting a surprise hits on the fans every time. A video you can see here.
After Meitenkun trailer we were thinking Tung or someone else. Instead of Kyo we got Iori. Then we thought we were getting team sacred treasure which meant Kyo or Chizuru next. Well that is not the case we have Joe. SNK hears what we think and switches it up to keep us on are toes.
What this means is we don’t know what is coming next. But we are excited for it no matter what it is. Is this a new team Japan with Iori, Joe and Kyo or a new team Yagami with Joe? Or are they messing with the order to keep us guessing? We will have to wait and see.
