Vic Mignogna has posted a new letter in response to what has happened. Basically do to accusations from fans and coworkers alike Vic has been separated from Funimation as well as Rooster teeth. Vic has done voice for Dragon Ball Super Broly as the mad Saiyan himself, Full metal alchemist as Ed and in Soul Eater where he played Spirit. This is his letter expressing his feelings to all he knows and might have offended.
Anime News Network has posted some of the incidents that Vic is accused of pushing the bonders in some cases and just going over the line in others. These are accusations going to 2008 and one where it took place 1989.
“Mignogna has been accused by a number of con attendees of kissing and embracing them without consent over the course of his career with some allegations dating back to 2008. These allegations have spread on social media over the past few weeks. Fellow voice actors have publicly issued anecdotes of their personal experiences with Mignogna or support for those speaking out via social media.
Most recently, a former theater student and fellow parishioner at Mignogna’s church in Virginia alleged that after working together on the high school play in 1989, Mignogna invited the then 16 year old girl to his home, removed his shirt, and began putting his tongue in her ear despite her protests of needing to go home. Eventually, she states he stopped and she left his home. According to her account, she met Mignogna when he was 26 and brought on to help direct the play at Liberty Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia.
The connected Christian college newspaper from 1989 confirms that Mignogna participated in the college’s theater program. Mignogna’s resume also states that Mignogna was in Lynchburg creating videos for FamilyNet in 1989, a Christian broadcasting station owned by televangelist Jerry Falwell. Falwell was also the founder of Liberty Christian Academy.”
