Street Fighter v Champion Edition is getting a returning character in Gill. But with his return we have to wait to see how he will play in the story mode. Well This brings up the question of who would be in it other Kolin and Urien? I believe G might be it.
Now this goes behind the G is Q fan theory. To me this goes into we have a president of the Earth and the man who says he is god or chosen one. Only one can run the show so I see them settling things one way and that is to fight it out.
With that stated Capcom might play with the idea of G being Q in Gill taunts or bring it up in story mode. Might have been a thing before but Capcom might take fan idea and run with it. You never know.
