Noblesse Ep 9 Blood Contract/ Devote is out and we will be breaking it down. Since this will be a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled then stop now and go check out the episode over at Crunchyroll.com. AGAIN SPOIELRS AHEAD.
In the last episode Frankenstein was taking 2 nobles and held them off by losing control. In his wounded state he finds Raziel mansion and seeks shelter by pretending to be a new butler. The issue is Raziel lives alone so he knows that is a lie and the nobles who he fought Gejetel and Rajak found him following the blood trail. Seeing him injured Raziel says he will keep him.
Franekstein has stayed with Raziel for 5 years and is sparing with Rajak on a normal occasion. As they fight thought Gejuetel is trying to talk to Raziel saying this is not a good idea as this man is the noble hunter. He has killed your fellow nobles and as such might kill you. On top of that the other nobles want him to answer for his crimes to which Riazel to both said no. We don’t know he has taken a liking to Frankenstein but he has despite the obvious problem housing him is causing. Gejuetel says at the very least have him met with the lord. And given that Frankenstein goes i guess he said yes.
The lord reaction to him is basically a kid checking out something new. As he looks him over with not one bit of anger. Remember to him he is looking at a man who has killed his fellow nobles without a second thought. Yet all he can do is looking at him as though he is a late guest. The exchange turns to Raizel as when Frankenstein is explain the noble hierarchy he says git rid of since the noblesse is there to serve as the power of the lord. The lord tells him he can’t. It isn’t the fact it isn’t in his power but that he cannot chance the mind of his fellow nobles so easily. But we also learn of blood pact that Frankenstein has not made with Raizel yet.
Now with the noble hunter with the noblesse is not sitting well with the nobles. As such we have Urokai who take him on in Rajak place as his sparring partner. As you expect Urokai wants to kill Frankenstein or at least prove nobles are better. The thing is Frankenstein is holding back as Rajak states when he arrives.
We soon get a good example of Frankenstein at 100% as he looses it and with that Urokai loses his advantage and soon sees what took down his nobles. Before this fight can get to crazy as Urokai only losses an eye and some of his pride Gejeutle and Rajakl step in but even with they may not be enough. What we do get is Raizel and the past lord appearing. Once they appear Raizel goes to stop Frankenstein.
In order to calm down Frankenstein Raizel makes a blood pack with him and saves him. Now this gives him a long life to keep Raizel company but also we that Grejetel whishes that didn’t happen at the same time it is a good thing that is.
Remember that Raizel lived in this huge mansion alone. Now he has someone to keep him company. With that said we are brought back to the present where Gejetule ask him to come back home to which Frankenstein reminds the elder of Raizel answer where he says he wants to stay here. Here he has friends that are both human and noble. People he likes to be around and to be fair i think it is because being the noblesse doesn’t matter to them. That is the only reason i can think as to why the man who lived alone now has such a huge group. But we will see as the series continues on.
