Boruto ch 53 That’s Reality is out and we will be breaking it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you don’t want to be spoiled stop now and go check out the chapter over at Viz Media and Shonen Jump/ V Jump. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
So to recap we have Kawaki now on the battlefield and that is what Isshiki wants so he can have a strong host instead of Jigen who cannot hold him. And thanks to Baryon mode that life has been shortened. So this makes things real nice for Isshiki.,
So now with Kawaki on the field we get basically the ninja version of keep away as Isshiki tries to get to him. In that moment Naruto and Sasuke try to there best but they can only do but so much. Baryon mode is gone as Naruto loses it as Isshiki knocks him out. Remember that he wasn’t going to be able to hold on to it much anyway and Sasuke has no way of standing up to Isshiki. So this leaves Kawaki to run.
He runs away and even gets Sasuke to swap with him but in the end Isshiki gets to him and that to many people think it is over but that is not the case. Kawaki in his time in the village learned a few things. One of them is shadow clone which works the same way as a genjutsu does on them and that means it doesn’t. So with that being the case Isshiki freaks out as this seems to be the end of the road.
I said things look like it is over as Isshiki falls but don’t forget he isn’t the only threat. Momshiki seeing Isshiki is down makes his move and take out Sasuke eye. This is bad in many ways as if Isshiki is dead then his Karama is gone as well. Both Naruto and Sasuke are out so even though Momshiki isn’t at full power as Isshiki was we still have no one who is really up to deal with him. At least not in this chapter. We will see how that changes in the next one.
