We had new gameplay from Arc System Works for Guilty Gear Strive. The gameplay showed off new mechanics for Axl, Ky and Sol that we will go over. If you have not seen the video check it out here.
We will go in order which means we will be starting with Axl low and his ability freeze time. Already being coined as his own version of the world through One Vision. The move uses half gauge to freeze time which you can keep loaded until you are ready to use it. The description says it can be canceled into any more so this can leave a person open for anything. From a special to an overdrive. We don’t know how long you have before you lose it since you have to do the command twice to use it. Granted that is if you lose it.
What then get to see is Ky dragon install which is titled dragon install. I am noting that as for him teaching Sol a few things maybe in return Sol taught Ky how to channel his gear in battle thus he his own install. The move increases the power of all of his special and from what I can see changes the animation for his overdrive ride the lightning as towards the end he does a big spin.
The look feels like it was inspired by black clover as it reminds me of Asta demon forms. Also we are using the same name of Sol Dragon Install but this is different. Ky speed is not increased not does he get regen. I not this as when Sol uses install all of his moves don’t just hit more but animation changes such when gunflame goes from a ground fireball to Sol version of Terry power geyser. But still it is cool to see Ky utilizing something Arc keep teasing to be his trump card.
Sol was shown to have a new move called Heavy Mob Cemetery which Arc Systems Works has been teasing for a big as it is Sol going into gear form to plow the enemy into the ground. According to the description it has good range and damage. Meaning we might see a lot of people use this move.
Now the thing we don’t know if this will be the only way we see Sol install. It might be him finally getting a brand new move and when he uses dragon install it will be much worse or better depending on which side of the move you are one. We will have to see as players expect to Sol to have his install the same way you want Scorpion to have his spear of Ryu to have his Shinku Hadoken.
They are. The highlights which underline something interesting to me. We are seeing overdrives that are bring in more of the characters story into the gameplay. What that means for the other characters we will have to see when we get are hands on them but sure does make things exciting as Ky install may be one of the newest things they have added to the game that will get you pumped for this.
