Okay so Type Moon Ace Vol 13 is out and thus we have news on Tsukihime Remake. We already talked about the date or release being August 26th. But we also have more on the routes. They have doubled in volume. As such both the graphics and gameplay have improved in this game. We will also have “Arcueid Route” and “Ciel Route” double heroine system.
Arcueid Route: Moon Princess
Shiki Tohno is a high school student left in the care of a distant relative after an accident seven years ago. After his father dies, he is called back to his prestigious family home, and his everyday life begins anew in the large estate. However, there were some unsettling signs. One day, while feeling lightheaded, he passes by a woman. His encounter with the woman, who calls herself Arcueid, gets him involved in a battle beyond human comprehension by inhuman “Vampires.”
Ciel Route: Rainbow of the Night
After an unexpected train ride, Shiki quickly becomes close with Ciel, a popular, older student at his high school. With his best friend Arihiko Inui and new teacher Noel, he had a busy, dream-like everyday life. However, that did not last long. The urge to kill suddenly came to boil. And the tragedy he caused drags him to the depths of despair. Offering an umbrella and warm words, it was Ciel who saved Shiki’s soul.
Okay so here is where things get interesting as Kars a known Type Moon fan has done some translation on there own from the 20 page article. This is what was said about the remake. In there translations Kars confirmed that FGO did have some hand delaying the remake but that the 2 are tied together.

Also it is thanks to Nasu that we have console release as his partner wanted to release it on PC. But Nasu convinced him that there charm having visual novels on consoles. So for those who don’t own a PC or are really not PC gamers you can thank him for that.
The game will take place in 2010 as opposed to it previous timeline. This is why Arcuied has been changed and according to Takechui this is how he wanted her to look.
Power scale wise things are getting reshaped. Given how Tsukihime was one of Type Moon early story and how much things have change with fate you can understand why. As to what this will mean for the character themselves it is hard to say. But it will be interesting for those like me who can’t help but compare characters strength.
Last bit we did get a mention of Mahyo on Tsukihime 2. Mayho was mentioned jokingly but Tsukihime 2 was mentioned with Nasu talking about the dark 6 and world scaling. We seem to be on are way there as Kars puts it and I can’t wait.
But there is a little more. With the way this is coming out this sound more like a sequel then a remake in it isn’t replacing the original but adding to it. This is how Kars sees it and to be honest I can understand how. At the same time we see old events as well so I am not to sure on where I put this. Let me know what you think
