Activision Blizzard have come under the gun lately for how they have been handing the issues with there relationship with there employees following harassments issues. Yesterday not only did there good percent of there workers walked out as they called for the CEO to step down but also Sony called them out on it. Today this bad news for the company continues as now Phil Spencer of Microsoft is now calling them out on there handling of the issue as well. “This type of behavior has no place in our industry” is what Spencer had to say about the matter. Having both Sony and Microsoft say they need to address this seriously Activision Blizzard had this to say.
“We respect all feedback from our valued partners and are engaging with them further. We have detailed important changes we have implemented in recent weeks, and we will continue to do so. We are committed to the work of ensuring our culture and workplace are safe, diverse, and inclusive. We know it will take time, but we will not stop until we have the best workplace for our team.“
With stock going down and 2 of the videogame partners joining it is best Activision Blizzard take this seriously in which to make meaningful change. They said they are but as I stated before the change being needed to be made at the top. With them not wanting to change you can see the issue. Now will this force that change? Time will tell as the call for this to happen is getting louder it seems.
