Mario Kart 9 is rumored to be in the works. A rumor that has some new information to go with it. New details show more than just Mario characters will be in the game. According to Leaky Panda a well-known leaker the game will have characters from arms. Kid Icrraus, Splatoon, Legend of Zelda and F-Zero. Not only will we have cross over characters but courses as well. The item boxes will also get updated with big or small boxes. Big one will have big items while small ones will have less powerful items.
Before you this get you excited keep in mind this is all rumor. At the time of this posting, we have no word on a Mario Kart 9 being a thing much less what it will contain. When that does happen, I will let you know.
