Kekkai Sernsen Beat 3 Peat ch 2 is out and I would like to talk about it. This reaction will have spoilers. So if you do not want to be spoiled then stop now and go check out the chapter online. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
This chapter was an interesting. Odd but still interesting. The odd part through out this Libra don’t take any action through this chapter. To explain why that is odd Kekkai Sensen aka Blood Blockade Battle front mostly focuses on them. Most of the time through Leo or Klaus with adventure where the others get time to shine. Usually someone in Libra is the focus. Usually as there are exceptions.
For this chapter we don’t get that. Here we see a threat that seems a bit like a scifi movie. We see these things (we never get a name) appear around the world. As to why they are appearing that is due to them try mainly to cause calamity. But it is through an underground and inverted way. It is through this kid. Again no name. But it is all on him. He is the test to see if the shields can be breached as he is taken to New York.
For anyone unfamiliar there are shields in place to stop Beyond nasty side from getting any more foot hold in our world than they have. This is brought maintained by the sorcerers who we see are taking action here. Now the kid in question is being brought into New York but we see him passing Klaus. This is due to the fact Hellsalem Lot or Jersulam lot as Anime fans know it is in New York. It is its own territory, but it still counts as New York.
But this is the nutting thing as we see this kid main thing was to open a classic coke bottle. With this action we would see the world fall to beyond. Another dimension filled with creature beyond measure. Yet he was stopped because a girl was there. This moment of chance arranged by Cosmos and Chaos could have ended the world if these 2 didn’t meet. They are now dead but the world moves on.
This is something you feel happens a lot behind the scenes and it paints a different picture. For Blood Blockade battle front we can say this is Nightow take on monster hunting in modern day. I mean Libra top fighters are all basically well accomplished vampire hunters by trade. With vampire being the most deadly thing we have seen from beyond as an enemy you can understand why fans see it that way. Here we are reminded it is a bit science fiction as this was an invasion attempted on a global scale. Something Libra wouldn’t be able to do much about as this was would just be too much for them. Yes they are powerful but keep in mind if something comes to the city that can take it out it will take the coordinated effort of the whole team to defeat it. This would have destroyed the world. Yes there is someone here Klaus can swing his fist at but I don’t think it would do anything.
A cool chapter to me as it gives us a perspective on the world of BBB from another viewpoint that changes things up.
