The Witcher has had some spin off as well as a main series that is going on 3 seasons. The new prequel series Blood Origins for told how we got to have Witcher. But it also seems to have a link to one of the big main Characters Ciri. This is through Elden Blood which has become a focal point in the story. The thing is many see this pointing to Elle in the prequel with main series seeing point to Ciri. Thus fans believe the 2 are related.
“The Lark’s seed will carry forth, the first note in a song that ends all times, and one of her blood shall sing the last,” for Elle “The world will die amidst frost and be reborn with the new sun. It will be reborn of Elder Blood, of Hen Ichaer, of the seed that has been sown. A seed which will not sprout but burst into flame” Which refers to Ciri.
A good theory but according to the show runner that isn’t the cause. Hissrich says this a connection but them being related by blood is not it. “The prophecy I actually think is not as clear cut as many people think. It does seem to immediately say Ciri is related to Éile, and that is not the case. So we can dispel that rumor right now. That is a little hidden gem for us, and we have other things brewing with that.” Hissrich said this in an interview
The hidden gem might be revealed sooner rather than later as Netflix seems keen on exploring the wither world. As for when it is revealed the connect between the elder blood of the past and present I will let you know.
