GameSpot Black Myth Wukong from Summer Game fest 2024

Black Myth Wukong was at Summer Game Feast 2024. GameSpot got hands on with the game and explained some thing players might want to hear. The game has come off as souls like or being similar to Nioh or lies of p who are using the formula Fromsoftware is famous for with its games. According to GameSpot there are soul like elements but it is not the same.

You have flask and campfires. But there are other elements that make this game unique. They explain that you will not face bosses the same way you would in a souls like game. You will have 2 sets of dodges. Normal and perfect. The perfect seems to give you similar effect to dodging right in phantom blade 0 where you get an after image as you get to a better position.

They said the boss battle are more fast paced. But when describing it they state that you still watch to see that window to attack is as you learn that pattern. That combined with how you level shows maybe more Souls like DNA as well. At the same time you do get the boss weapons and transform into them. At least some as the demo at the event show. If you have been following the game development it is that one with the double bladed staff with flames. You can see the whole video below to see how much the game is like souls or not yourself. If you want to get into the game I suggest you do.
