Noblesse Ep 2 A Reason To Fight/ Nobility is out and we will break it down. Since this is a breakdown there will be spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled please stop now and go check this episode as well as the other ones over at Crunchyroll.com. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
So we start this episode learning that another group besides the Union is looking Raziel awakening and battle with the modified humans. Enter Regis K Landgre and Seria J. Loyard. They visit the sight of the battle which we learn through them has been dubbed by the media as the work of mad man which they inturn do not believe.
We then go from them to the school where we see M 21 is still a hit among the girls and Yu just made it before being marked as late. We also see Regis and Seria arrive here to become students. Regis then uses his abilities to try and control M 21 but it seems they don’t work on modified humans. But he goes along with bring them to Frankenstein.
Frankenstein then reveals they are nobles but they are not the same as Raziel. They seem try there trick Frankenstein as well and once again it doesn’t effect him the same way it did with the police. But in order to avoid trouble Frankenstein rolls with it notifying Raziel though before putting them into a class.
We then see that Regis notice something off about Raziel which makes me wonder why are they hear then? Understand they are supposed to be looking into Raziel so the fact that they are looking at him and the fact he is not normal is all we get makes me wonder about these 2.
At lunch we get to see interact more with Regis trying to figure things out and Serai not really reacting at all. Instead she is instead being looked by Yu friend. We then learn that Raziel has favorited Ramen to the point that is all he eats.
But it is the talk between M 21 and Frankenstein that we need to focus on. Through them we learn more about. Nobles in this world were seen as super natural beings that protected humanity. They did so as back then humanity was that weak. Keep in mind we are talking about way back. For lore buffs we are seeing hoe in this world the noble system came to be instead of warriors for the king and you work the land for them.
It is an interesting look which then leans to us coming back to the present where we see everyone is hanging out at Frankenstein house.
The is upsets the man house but it also brings up an issue. M 21 is hiding out here so the fact that these nobles are here could lead to problems. Big problems when they realize he is a modified human. Something that becomes an issue a Regis does come to basically call him out and say I need to talk to you.
Regis calls him out on it but then also shows that hey may not know what he is looking for as well. Regis basically says the coffin had a power that normal human shouldn’t have. Meaning he doesn’t know he is looking for Raziel just what was in the coffin.
The only thing is he is asking M 21 who is not exactly happy with the idea of Nobles. The 2 fight with M 21 getting the upper had a big but he is soon over power. Something worse might have happened but the fight is stopped by Seria who says they are in trouble as the gang from the first episode has come back.
This again shows Yu is trouble maker but he can also handle himself as we see he takes care of these guys quick and in a hurry. One gets the drop on him but he takes them out too. Regis shows up with M 21 and 21 tells him to wait and shows that humans have grown stronger since the old times that nobles were needed. This is only taken out when one of them brands a gun forcing M 21 to act. He does so and we see from that point that Seria might be into him Yu.
We are then left with comedy as M 21 and Regis are shown to be the comic rivalry. To prove that we see the episode end with them arguing because Regis wants a bigger room but will not switch M 21 as he doesn’t want to owe him. As you can guess from the last sentence they are now living in the house with Raziel and Frankenstein but it is unclear if they know what they are.
