We have been hearing about Shenmue 4 for a bit as Yu Suzuki meeting with 101 industries have fans thinking it might be a thing. A theory that according to Yu isn’t a thing. The videogame developer said there no current plans for a 4th installment.
” no concrete plans for a sequel right now.” Yu to IGN Japan.
That said Yu said if a 4th installment was made he would make it more acceptable to new fans. The 3rd installment was a mid point as although it was funded by die hard fan base we also have to bring in new fans. He didn’t say if this would end the series. I say that as some expect the 3rd game would be the end in the story but that is not the case.
