Four Knights of the Apocalypse ch 145 is out and I would like to talk about it. This reaction will have spoilers. If you do not want to be spoiled then stop now and go look up the chapter online as well as support it over at comiXology or Kodansha. AGAIN SPOILERS AHEAD.
Camelot has turned into a family pain into an opportunity. One that the family will take care of as well as them. To do that they must deal with Mertyl. King and Diane dear son anger can no longer be denied. The rage not only boiling over but changing him. A transform seems not necessary but you can see where Nakaba is going with this.
Fans have been waiting to see Daine and King. Not only as they are after the time skip but also see them in action. Not just them but to see how there family fairs. Making Mertyl this hulking monster is to give that stage as it gives him power to make them all necessary. A family problem means the whole family is involved.
That being the case the powers broke down how you think. Those more fairy get King power the kids closest to Diane get giant power. An interesting thing to see them use the power as it reminds me of us seeing Diane in training when we got her flash back in the ten commandments arc. Though not as harsh you can assume the kids get some of that from mom and dad.
This may also explain why we got to see Sixtus before. King song who seems to be closest to him might also share with the same level of power his dad did before they fully bloomed. Thus him taking on the mages isn’t a question of if he is capable more so how will this battle go with these strong foes. We hope they are strong or they will not have to deal with Sixtus power but smack talk as well.
That being said I am shocked Percival presence was shown more at first. But after seeing the chapter it was made clear this was King and Diane family moment. At least at the moment. Similar to Sixtus it feels as though we saw those tiny Percival for a reason other than explaining why Naisen can move now. It feels like it is setting up or horsemen death as a guardian angel for the moment. How long he will hold that role we will have to see. Make you wonder if they are always looking the others it is just they don’ see them. May explain why they believe he will get better. Not just an act of faith by the feeling these guys around they are just not aware of.
The chapter was great getting to see King and Diane in action. Though it is to deal with a manipulated family matter. We must keep that in mind as it means we will see them hold back. But seeing them in use is something fans need. No Naruto fan liked it when the old guard just came down to what Naruto and Sasuke can do as the series shifted to the new generation. Yes it will happen but we still want to see the old characters in action. Thus why we were psyched to see Ban deal with the chaos knights as well as happy to the sing of Envy and Sloth fight as well. Cool.
