Akuma trailer was revealed for Street Fighter 6. The demon is back and is as furous as ever. We some classic moves such as his fireball are flip and teleport. But of course some things have changed. You can charge the fireball to have more hits and even to become his red fireball which similar to SFV gives it more hits. This may seem small but it allows it to beat out normal projectiles. He has new 2 punch move that is great for combos when the opponent is close.
Of course, he also has the raging demon. His trademark move is back again. In SF5 Akuma beat you up from the darkness until you down. In SF6 we get to see all as the opponent is stared down by an army of Akumas. This move is his 2nd level 3. Akuma usual gets more than one with the raging demon being the 2nd. But there is a catch. You can only do it when you life is in the critical state which is low vitality.
“Akuma’s move set will be familiar to long-time fans, but the Satsui no Hado has unlocked new abilities. His infamous fireball, Gou Hadoken is back, and can be charged up so that a ‘red fireball’ is released instead, giving Akuma more options upon hit or block.
Like his previous iterations, Akuma uses Ashura Senku to glide on the battlefield cloaked in shadows. Be wary of using this ability since it can be stopped mid-way by an opponent’s attacks. However, Akuma has honed this move’s vulnerabilities and can now use Oboro Throw during the approach to surprise opponents.
Adamant Flame is one of Akuma’s new moves, where he performs a forward thrust engulfed in flames. This move is useful in combos and for exploiting vulnerable opponents due to its long reach. The OD version will wall splat opponents, opening up more opportunities in the corner.
Finally, the move you’ve all been waiting for: Shun Goku Satsu or the ‘Raging Demon. This second Level 3 Super Art can only be performed when his Vitality is low enough for a Critical Art and can be used to end combos. This time, he allows you to see what happens during the one-second worth of nightmares.”
Keep in mind though his release will come with a huge balance patch. That is according to Capcom. The trailer was Akuma to the T. With the music, the presence and stage. The stage many note is his SF alpha 2 stage. And here I thought he sunk that island. He did in one of the endings. We even get him knocking out the create a character who was scared of him without Akuma laying a finger on him much less one of his Shoryukens. You can see the trailer below.
