Deadpool and Wolverine is the next movie to focus on the mutant side of marvel. With Deadpool and Wolverine we see many from the X-men movies appear. But take in mind these are not cameos for the sake of a cameo appearance. These characters are there because they work in the story.
“I’ll say we didn’t start off with a wishlist. From the day we started devising this Deadpool and Wolverine story, we let the story dictate the characters, not the other way around. Aaron and his return as Pyro was an outgrowth of that, and that applies to pretty much all the characters you’ll see in the movie.” Director Shawn Levy
This is important distinction to make as character appearance for the sake of them has become a thing in comic book movies and fans are discussing is it worth it to have this person appear if it doesn’t progress the story. What was a cool easter egg or surprise is now under the microscope to discover if is really needed.
